Hi there, you can try use k-lite mega codecs, it build it windows media classic player.

What your problem actually? You can't play the video files? If you can't play the video files, please try using this codec http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack_download.htm
Please uninstall your quick time player 1st, I think your player outdated already.
If you still can't play, please describe your problem clearly.
